In this one-hour webinar and interactive discussion, Jason Frasca and Iain Kerr from Emergent Futures Lab challenge some of the harmful assumptions about early-stage innovation and begin to outline a new effective approach.

The Speakers

Jason Frasca is an entrepreneur focused on leveraging emerging technologies for meaningful social transformation and whose ventures have taken him into a wide variety of spaces from health to law. His expertise in entrepreneurship and innovation led him to be hired as the first full-time faculty of the Feliciano Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Montclair State University (MSU), where he co-founded and co-directs the MIXLab – the campus innovation and research center, in addition to being a founding partner of Emergent Futures Lab.

Jason has over 20 years of experience managing Fortune 500 clients in marketing, media, finance, fitness, sports, health, retail, clothing, as well as working across non-profits, startups, private insurance, and international law firms.

Iain Kerr is a designer and innovation researcher working at the intersection of creativity, ecology, and emergent systems to make disruptive changes possible. His unique approach evolves from over twenty-plus years of experimenting across and beyond the zones of industry, the arts, and ecology. He co-directs the MIXLab at MSU and is a founding partner of Emergent Futures Lab. The MIX Lab’s mission is to foster innovation at all scales.

Iain regularly works as a consultant, lecturer and workshop leader on creativity, innovation, and design (MIT, Harvard University, Columbia University, Parsons, Yale, CCA, and RISDI). His most recent research is on developing new models of Innovation that are collective, forms of novel worldmaking: Innovation Design.
