This session will be facilitated by Ian Collins, Tax Partner – Head of R&D Tax Services at EY Ireland, one of Irelands leading experts in the area and a number of his colleagues.

In addition to the scheme detail itself, this session will also the cover recent significant changes in the Finance Act due to be enacted before the end of the year, together with results of Dept. Finance public consultation on the R&D tax credit and KDB and what the recommendations on the Commission on Tax and Welfare may hold for companies.

  • The webinar will provide important insights into the key elements of preparing and defending a robust R&D tax credit claim i.e. the scientific/ engineering, finance/ tax technical and documentation/ evidence aspects of a claim.
  • It is aimed at both scientific/engineering people and people working in finance or tax related roles to provide the necessary insights required for each discipline’s perspective. It should be relevant to all those responsible for managing, recording and claiming the credits.
  • It may also be of interest to anyone who has not yet claimed R&D tax credits but is considering doing so in the future. This clinic should provide insight into whether the credit is for you and whether there are steps you should start taking now to ensure the best outcomes.
