Complimentary members’ R&D Tax Credit and Knowledge Development Box (KDB) clinic for finance, technical & other team members who should understand the detail of the updated Revenue Guidance (2019) so as to properly support a claim.

Radisson Blu Hotel, Dublin Airport

Wednesday, 13th March – 9.00am to 1pm

2019 is a big year for the R&D tax credits with a major review planned, and new revised guidance due from Revenue.  Our nationwide popular clinics are a great way for members to keep up to date with ongoing developments to the R&D incentive schemes, and to share experiences with other companies.

Member companies are welcome to send along multiple employees.  No charge applies.

The session will be facilitated by IRDG along with a professional tax advisor.

R&D Tax Credits

Supporting an R&D Tax Credit should not be a retrospective exercise. Having access to complete, up-to-date and accurate information on the two key tests – the science test and the accounting test – is critical. The implementation of systems and procedures for the capturing of relevant supporting documentation further strengthens your claim.

Knowledge Development Box

Are you considering the feasibility of the KDB? The KDB incentivises all Irish companies (SMEs & multinationals) that, through Irish Research and Development efforts, create exploitable intellectual property (IP). Qualifying IP is IP generated as a result of R&D activities carried on in Ireland which would qualify for the R&D tax credit.  The clinic will look at the following areas – overview of the scheme and how it works, what IP qualifies, relevant KDB Definitions, and examples of different KDB situations.

These clinics are aimed at those responsible for managing and recording R&D activity for the purposes of claiming Tax Credits /KDB. These clinics therefore are suited to those in Finance and in the Technical functions – all parties to a tax credit claim. The goal is to help companies become more independent in the management of claims, and to be fully prepared so as to defend the claim in the event of audit.

CPD – Continuing Professional Development

IRDG is a member of the CPD Certification Service.

A CPD certificate of attendance will be available to attendees after the event for anyone who wishes to avail of same.
