IRDG hosted a visit of members at Bord Bia‘s new innovation facility The Thinking House in Dublin on Monday 5th December. The visit was mainly for members in the food and drink sector, but also included other’s in consumer goods.
The Thinking House was launched earlier in year, and is a fantastic resource to companies in the food and drink. The concept of the Thinking House is to help food and drinks companies build strong brands using marketing insight to drive success. The 7,000 sq ft premises offers indigenous export companies, international buyers and third level institutions access to Bord Bia’s own research as well as that of other intelligence companies such as Mintel and Kantar Worldpanel. It provides a space for collaboration, integration and interaction – breaking down silos and connecting stakeholders and a forum for translating what industry wants to the research community and vice versa. The ultimate goal – sustainable, scalable products built on consumer need.
