Presentations: Collaborate to Innovate, Dublin, June 2014

This seminar in Dublin on the 25th June brought together the various bodies and programmes of funding available to companies interested in Research & Innovation.  The event also featured a significant number of exhibitors, predominantly from the third level sector.  In this way the delegates were able to understand both the opportunities for funding and the expertise available across the country.

Horizon 2020 – Just Getting Started

Horizon 2020 was formally launched in Ireland on December 10th, and the first calls have now opened. Until 2020, almost €80billion will be available to fund research and innovation in order to boost jobs and growth, and it is incumbent on all companies to take some time to understand the opportunities available.

Presentations: Marie Curie Actions & Euraxess, Dublin, Nov 2013

In November 2013, we held an information session in the DCU Ryan Academy as the beginning of our initiatives around Horizon 2020. There were 2 primary features of the event and the presentations are shared below.

Marie Curie Actions, which is funded by the European Commission as part of Horizon2020, is a set of 4 funding programmes aimed at developing and training Research and Innovation staff across both the industry and research community in Europe.

Horizon 2020 – National Launch

Tuesday 10th December 2013 sees the launch of Horizon 2020, the European Union’s new programme for research and innovation to create new growth and jobs in Europe.

Hosted by Enterprise Ireland, the event will take place from 10am until 1pm in the Convention Centre, Dublin 1.

Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, EU Commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science and Sean Sherlock T.D. Minister for Research & Innovation will outline the opportunities Horizon 2020 offers industry and researchers in Ireland.
