Representation

  • Make nominations to research, technology & innovation bodies
  • Membership of the Research, Development & Innovation Committee
  • Policy submission to Government on research, technology & innovation
  • Represent the members at government level and lobby for changes and enhancements to the RD&I incentives
  • Represent members views to Government Departments, Development Agencies etc. on RD&I issues
  • Lobby on behalf of individual companies, groups of companies and sectors
  • Consult members and provides recommendations to Government on specific topic eg development of IP trading in Ireland (May 2009 Finance Bill)
  • Run regional workshop for members to collect feedback on RD&I issues and suggestions for areas for improvement to enhance the conditions and incentives for RD&I in Ireland.  These are then used to prepare position papers which are submitted to government.
