Medtronic is the world's leading provider of medical technologies. The company's largest R&D facility outside of the United States is located in Galway where highly innovative, minimally-invasive products are developed for the company's Vascular division. Working with IRDG, and through the use of RTI funding, Medtronic Ireland has pioneered the use of emerging technologies across a number of product types. The successful delivery of these projects has also enabled Medtronic Ireland to significantly expand its R&D mandate within the company's global operations

Mentec
Mentec International is one of the leading Irish providers of
integrated software products for business. The company specialises in financial
management, enterprise resource planning (ERP), eBusiness and software
infrastructure products and has approximately 200 staff across the UK and
Ireland. Through its work with IRDG, Mentec successfully commenced a formal
R&D programme focussed on the development of advanced B2B internet
integration technology and vertically-specific solutions for the export market.
IRDG provided full cycle R&D mentorship covering planning, funding and
management.

Marigot CelticSea Minerals
Marigot, trading as
CelticSea Minerals, s. The company, established in 1993, harvests
calcified seaweed from a reserve located off the South West coast and then
processes it for export to over 16 countries. IRDG has worked with
Marigot on a number of product development programmes since 1999. Through this
partnership, Marigot has leveraged RTI funding to support complex and demanding
clinical trial requirements.
