Funding & Support: MANUNET – funding transnational research projects in Manufacturing

Launched Jan 2019 (extract from IRDG RD&I members’ Funding Brief, Jan 2019)

Manunet is a network of development agencies whereby each agency uses its own funding programmes to support international collaborative projects performed by companies in the manufacturing sector. Currently, the network comprises countries – Ireland, Germany, Luxembourg, Romania, Russian Federation, Turkey and also regions in Italy, Netherlands, Spain and Belgium.

Application is a two-stage process involving the submission of a pre-proposal, which is evaluated by Manunet. If successful, the next stage involves each collaborating partner applying for funding through their own agency, which for Irish companies is Enterprise Ireland.  Enterprise Ireland will support companies through the RD&I fund and higher than normal grant rates will be available due to the collaborative nature of the projects.

partner search tool is available on the MANUNET website which will allow you to put forward a project, for which you are seeking a partner with specific expertise or alternatively you can respond to other companies’ requests for a project partner.

Further details on Manunet, including the topics of interest can be found here.  The Irish representative for Manunet is John Greene who can be contacted for an initial discussion – john.greene@enterprise-ireland.com

Closing date for pre-proposal stage is March 21st 2019
