Under the Enterprise Ireland Carbon Management/Reduction Initiate companies can receive grant support towards the costs of measuring the carbon footprint of their business and identify and adopt strategies to management and/or reduce company emissions.

Carbon footprinting and carbon labelling have become an increasingly important feature of today’s business environment.  The drive for reduced emissions is being led by government agencies, consumers and other companies in the supply chain.

Companies now need to fully understand where carbon ‘hotspots’ are occurring in their organisation and identify ways to reduce emissions and increase energy efficiency, in order to deliver cost savings and compete in a market place that demands greener products and services.

ELIGIBILITY: The Carbon Management/Reduction Initiative is open to all Enterprise Ireland clients or potential clients engaged in manufacturing or internationally traded services.

FUNDING: Support is provided towards the assessment of the energy intensity of an organisation or product which includes measuring the carbon footprint to an acceptable standard, and the use of the information gained to introduce energy reduction policies.

The maximum expenditure limit is based on individual application and will vary from case-to-ase.

Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis to assess eligibility of the detailed proposal and associated costs. The grant amount is determined following this assessment.

Receipt of other grants from Enterprise Ireland may impact on your eligibility for support under this initiative.
