Enterprise Innovation Network – R&D Forum

With the support of Enterprise Ireland, IRDG operates an Enterprise Innovation Network that includes a networking forum for R&D practicing company representatives to meet and discuss issues of common interest. The events are held regionally and usually centre on a topic presented by a key note speaker or speakers followed by a wider discussion. The EIN events serve as a valuable forum for IRDG members, prospective members and academics to discuss common issues. This forum also helps to keep R&D high on the agenda and continuously elevate its importance as a strategic growth driver within the smart economy. As part of this programme, we specifically aim to double IRDG membership over a 3 year-period, to continue to provide advice and services to members on RD&I matters, and to provide feedback to Government on key issues for members. The key issues identified are:

  • The administration of RD&I
  • Funding of RD&I
  • Collaboration with colleges

Over the next 3 years, we will be addressing these three on a regular basis to generate input to Government from IRDG members and from a much a wider network including our IRDG database consisting of 700-companies, American Chamber, Engineers Ireland, Teagasc, the Colleges etc. IRDG has been awarded a substantial grant through an open tender process to help achieve these targets. The grant is funded by the National Development Plan and Enterprise Ireland to establish an IRDG Enterprise Innovation Network to implement the plan. For more information please contact:
